Sesame Street adds 2 Black Muppets to talk clearly about race and racism

Sesame Street is introducing two black muppets.

They are Wes and Elijah and are father and son.

They are introducing the 2 muppets in an effort to help children understand racial literacy.

Wes and Elijah will be introduced in a short online video.

In the video Elmo wants to know why Wes’ skin is brown.
