A grand jury has indicted one officer in the no-knock warrant death of Breonna Taylor.

A judge announced Wednesday that former Louisville police officer Brett Hankison has been charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. Two other officers were not indicted.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron said the grand jury agreed that the other officers, “were justified in their return of deadly fire after having been fired upon.” Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, had fired at the officers as they entered the residence.

NBC News reports Taylor family attorney, Ben Crump, calls the decision “outrageous and offensive.”
